Several years ago, one of our members who is an avid line dancer started a program for members and friends with one beginner class at our clubhouse.  This quickly morphed into two classes, then intermediate and more difficult classes. These classes are a great way to meet people and make new friends, learn about the GFWC Danville Women's Club, and support charity projects while getting exercise and having fun. Net proceeds from attendance at the classes is donated to our scholarship fund and/or other charities we support.   

These are "drop-in" classes and cost just $3.00 per session.  It is requested that attendees do not participate if not feeling well for any reason.  Classes are limited to about 20 persons each session. 

They are all held at the Clubhouse - 242 W. Linda Mesa Ave. - Danville.

Classes are usually scheduled as follows:

• Monday 11:00 am to 12:30 pm - Improver Level
• Monday 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm - High Beginner Level
• Monday 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm - Ultra/Absolute Beginner
• Tuesday 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm - Improver/Intermediate
• Tuesday 3:30 to 5:00 pm - Ultra/Absolute Beginner
• Wednesday 1:30 to 3:00 pm - Beginner Level.

What class is right for YOU?

Ultra/Absolute Beginner Level: Just learning to dance.  Just learning the step names and terminology that applies to line dancing. Current class began in March 2023, and learning easy level beginning dances.

Beginner Level: This class is geared for on-going beginning level students.  Dances vary depending on skill level of class participants but usually beginning level.  Must know some terminology.

High Beginner Level: Need to have line dance experience. Need experience with dancing terminology.  Dancing more difficult beginner dances.

Improver Level: Need to know line dancing steps and terminology.  A step above high beginner level.  More difficult dances.

Improver /Intermediate Level:  Must have proficient line dance experience.  Learning higher level of choreographed dances.  Longer dances, more involved steps, intricate moves.  The most difficult class currently offered.
